Boston, eh. Still snow around but not as cold as Canada. Futzed around a lot trying to find the hostel. Blew $18 on an Indian meal, in a restaurant where they wearing ties and playing scmultzy jazz background music. The food was good though, a xantoo curry or something like that, fruity but had to wolf it down because they were closing. Stayed up until about 5am talking with locals who were staying there while looking for a place. Rents are apparently very high in Boston and there's no shortage of homeless people. Butted heads a few time with this Harvard educated, Bush supporting, black Jewish girl who seemed to think I was disrespecting her, the Condeleeza Rice type - hey, at least I found a specimen. Found an Apple retailer today and got a replacement power adaptor so at least my laptop won't die. Just the (very specialised) pin snapped but I had to get a whole new one for $63.
