One step down

Thus the descent begins.. Bands front.. saw the Morr music showcase of 'Indietronica' Tuesday. First off was The Go Find which was kind of pop, they had some nice songs. Next up was Styrofoam who had exactly the same members.. strange. To finish there was Lali Puna who were a pretty tight blend of live instuments and electonics live with lots of Can type repetition. Ventured out late last night to catch God is my Co-Pilot who are still kind of sloppy and juvenile. Earlier it looked like Ikue Mori and other people were improvising in the basemement. Not entertaining or standoutish enough really and the singer was pretty bad. I kept thinking that my vocals were better which is not really a compliment.
Other news is that I have been tryingto learn to program in Java the past week. I have to wander down to Queens today to pick up my package from UPS as they don't seem enter my instructions in the computer to try delivery again. It's really the fault that the doorbell doesn't work here and AT&T has a shoddy mobile network with bad coverage in my room + the fact that I'm on the other side of the world and don't really know anyone can certainly add to a bit of a sense of isolation, not in a bad way though.
