This gets a bit strange..

Saw No Neck Blues Band at a gallery this evening. Walked in to film loops of diamonds. The space (a gallery in in a huge building full of galleries on West 26th st) was layed out with a similar motif with 3 members of the band on one side of the room and another 3 on the other symetrically. Just jamming out for about half an hour while another member was doing some modern dance and dropping metal plates on the floor and such. Then some guy came into the middle of the space and started delivering some lengthy dialogue, got fake blood poured on him and then things started getting all primitive and ritualistic. The band came back and played at the back of the room different instruments in masks, costumes, etc.. ended up getting pretty crazy. A lot more of a 'show', like theatre than their albums, best of all it was free.
