Dresden

Well I bought a ticket to Vienna but the train was late and I ended up catching the wrong one to Cottbus. I caught a train to Dresden from there and will spend the night. Most of the old buildings here that had any kind of decent architecture are black from the fires I suspect and half rebuilt. The other old buidings you can tell by the grafitti. There are still signs of old checkpoints still along the rail line otherwise the new part of Dresden is the metal/glass/concrete facade that's all too familiar. Seems a bit conservative but there is a little sign of life as I found a half decent record store.
