Alkolfrei
Pouring down today. Thursday saw arrangements at the club of which Johann Johannson who did his his electronics thing with a string quartet was the hilight. I think his latest album on Touch is too over hyped from the performance, not that radical. Andrew Pekler grooved a bit and opened up the filter on his sounds toward the end of the night, got a bit loud. Placard part 2 was running in the other room. A few good bits but only heard the first half, seemed better the night before.
Last night's focus was on bass heavy music in the main room the best of which was an electroclash type rock band from Quebec called Les Georges Leningrad. Most of the other DJs gave me bass concusion by the end of the night. The other room had a 18 speaker hemispheric ambiosonic speaker setup of which the hilight was Jacob Kirkegaard & Thor Magnusson who played recordings of Icelandic volcanoes, really nice loud, detailed and spatial! I talked to Jacob and might see if we can get him out to Australia for Electrofringe. There's an album of that stuff out soon on Touch. Tonight will be the ninth straight night of partying so I was thinking of taking up an invitation to go to Poland by the Baltic sea for a bit of relaxation.
BTW the alcohol free beer tastes better than the real stuff IMHO.
